MDA Fundraiser (Kick-a-thon)
UMA will be hosting a fundraiser on March 10th, 2012. All proceeds from this event will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to help research for MD treatment.
Schedule for March 10th
9am - 10am Meet and greet at the Dojo (6180-9 Fort Caroline Rd. 32277)
10am - 11am Kickstands up! Motorcycle ride with Sensei Pierce: $25 to ride. If you would like to sponsor a biker for this event, please call 904-568-1782. (proceeds donated to MDA)
11:30am - 1pm Lunch at the Dojo. Hot dogs and burgers will be sold at the dojo. (proceeds donated to MDA)
1pm - 2pm Kick-a-thon. All students are encouraged to participate in Kick-a-thon. Participants must collect pledges per kick. Each student must do as many kicks to a target as they can without putting their foot down. For example; if a student has a pledge for $1 a kick and they do 25 kicks, they collect $25 for the cause. Pledge sheets are available at the Dojo.

Dojo closed Febraury 18th and 20th.There will be no Karate classes Saturday, February 18th or Monday, February 20th in observation of presidents day.
Monday Night 6-7 changedDue to lack of response, there will no longer be a 6-7pm Karate class on Mondays or Wednesdays. We are replacing this class with a fitness program. All Karate students are encouraged to participate in this class which is included in their regular tuition.

Friday, Feb. 24th we will be hosting a night of fun and games for the kids. Parents, this is your chance for a night out with that special someone. Drop off is at 7pm and pick up is at 12 am. The night will start with a movie on our big screen projector and games and activities on the Dojo floor immediately following testing.
Cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for each additional sibling in the same family. Bible verses
Students must have white Gi top and know all Bible requirements up to their rank in order to test. Bible verses will be recited at the beginning of testing. If the student does not know them, they will be asked to leave the floor and a retest will be scheduled for the following month. We do not practice Bible verses in class so please study at home!Click here to study now.
